Location: Gloucester, UK Department/Practice: Job Purpose and primary objectives: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 SME for the Virtual Devices Team following Scaled Agile Framework. Responsible for running, operating, and developing the AVD and Windows 365 environment. support and maintain the Windows 365 and Windows Operating System environment and related infra (Intune, GPO, OU, Application Configuration, patching etc.) knowledge transfer, documentation, and cross-skilling the Team comprising of Junior SMEs. SC clearance is mandatory. Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team): Running, operating, and developing the AVD Environment and W365 Environment Maintain and Manage Windows Environment hosted in AVD and W365 Environment Maintain and Manage policies/configuration. Maintain and manage hosted applications. Develop and execute Infrastructure as a Code pipelines using Terraform and PowerShell Maintaining and Managing CI/CD Pipelines via GitHub Repos. Manage W365 environment and App delivery via Intune. Develop competency in the team and cross skill junior SMEs Key Skills/Knowledge: Essential In-depth understanding of the Azure, AVD architecture and Windows 365 Architecture. High proficiency in Management, Configuration and Deployment best practices of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365. Highly Proficient in configuring and managing Resource Pool, Host Groups, Images, Apps and User Access Highly proficient in configuring user customization through FSlogix High Proficiency in managing Intune policies and deployments. Good Understanding of Virtual Desktop and Application strategies and best practices Proficient in Windows Operating System principals, Group Policy Management, PowerShell and Application Troubleshooting. Sound knowledge of Cloud Computing Fundamentals and Azure Desirable: Understanding of Agile frameworks like SCRUM Good Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, and customer responsiveness Working knowledge of tools like JIRA and Service Now. Experience required: Experience in Management, Configuration and Deployment of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and W365 Environment. Experience in managing environments using Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform and Powershell) and CI/CD Pipelines Experience in managing Intune policies and deployments. Experience in managing Windows Operating system, Configurations, Group Policy Experience in Desktop and Application virtualization. Experience in working in an Agile DevOps team following SCRUM. Duration of the Assignment: 6months + Special working conditions (travel, on call etc): Should be ready to work out of hours (based on project requirement) - if required Pre-onboarding formalities to be completed before the start date (ID creation and vetting validation). With Line Manager/Senior Stakeholders Maintain regular contact with Line Manager/Senior Stakeholders to update and appraise them on critical business issues and data points. With Offshore Teams Maintain regular contact with required Offshore teams as and when required to update them on current issues and decisions, seeking support for issues that affect the success of the contracts on-going deliverables as and when required. With Peers Develop and maintain positive relationships with other business partners, both internal and external, ensuring best practice advice is shared and maximum efficiency achieved.
