Oracle DBA - Remote - Contract (24 Months) Contract Length: 24 months Location: Remote, with onsite presence in Belfast when required Day Rate: Negotiable based on experience Client: Public sector Eligibility: Candidates must have valid working rights in the UK, as sponsorship is not provided Experience Level: 2+ Yrs We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support a critical project within the public healthcare sector. This is a mainly remote role, with occasional onsite presence required in Belfast for business-critical meetings or workshops. Key Responsibilities: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle RDBMS 11g, 12c, and 19c systems. Performing backups and restores using RMAN and cold backup methods. Managing high availability (HA) solutions, database cloning, and datapump operations. Migrating and upgrading Oracle databases to newer versions. Essential Experience: Candidates must have at least two years of experience in Oracle database administration, including proficiency in the areas listed above. Additionally, experience in any three or more of the following is required: Managing Oracle container databases (multitenant). Administering Oracle Grid Infrastructure. Working with Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. Architecting, designing, and building UNIX-based Oracle database systems. Providing support and maintenance for production UNIX Oracle database environments. Performance tuning and optimisation of Oracle database systems. Managing Materialized Views in Oracle databases. Implementing and managing partitioning in Oracle databases. UNIX system administration, including Scripting (preferably AIX 7.x). This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive DBA looking to develop their expertise within a structured and dynamic IT environment.
