Lead Highway Engineer London £300 - £320 per day Are you an experienced Highway/Traffic Engineer looking for a new challenge? An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Engineer with experience in traffic and highway schemes to join a busy client in London. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is negotiable for the right candidate, dependant on level of experience. Flexible working arrangements are available. Key Responsibilities: To be responsible for the engineering and project management to deliver the Section 106, Section 278, and all private works programme and along with colleagues, manage the delivery of a range of highways public realm improvement initiatives. To effectively manage, monitor individual project budgets for the Capital Programme in excess of between £1 and £5 million a year and produce regular update reports. To assess all contractor claims, reviewing external funding streams and producing monthly monitoring reports for the Assistant Director and Finance. To manage both staff and contractors delivering the project on the ground including the monitoring of productivity, performance management and allocation of resources. To manage the Council's contractors and consultants in delivery of capital project schemes, including public engagement and consultation. A full, detailed job description is available on request.
