Location: Remote (UK) Duration: 6 months Start Date: ASAP Rate: Competitive (Market Rate) We're looking for an experienced SONiC Network Consultant to join a customer team on an exciting 6-month engagement with a global bank . This role involves leading the assessment, selection, and proof-of-concept (PoC) execution for SONiC suitability within the bank's infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy - Evangelize and communicate the benefits and challenges of SONiC to key decision-makers. Vendor & Partner Assessment - Lead the evaluation of SONiC-capable switch vendors and specialist support partners , narrowing down to the best options for a PoC . Proof of Concept Definition & Execution - Develop a comprehensive PoC plan , including: Use case definition Success criteria High-level design Project plan Roles and responsibilities Test plan Governance & Assurance - Oversee and guide the PoC, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with the bank's future SONiC strategy . Collaborative Working - Work closely with the customer's team, ensuring they gain the maximum value from this process. Key Skills & Experience: Must Have: Strong background in data center spine-leaf architectures , with expertise in: EVPN/VXLAN Automation Proven consulting experience , particularly in delivering market assessments . Desirable: SONiC expertise - While deep SONiC experience is a plus, we can provide insights into vendors, partners, PoC use cases, and training if necessary.
