A Senior Frontend Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript is needed to join an ever-expanding IT team of a leading specialist (re)insurer. As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will be tasked with playing a crucial role as they look to continue innovating the IT strategy within the whole industry. About the role: As a Senior Frontend Engineer, your task will be to deliver intuitive, best-in-class interfaces, whilst integrating seamlessly across existing web applications. You will be expected to take ownership of this process - communicating closely with PMs, Back End teams and key stakeholders. With this role you will be a key influencer, ensuring a user-friendly experience through the IT transformation process. Key Responsibilities: Influence key architectural decisions, including framework selection, design patterns, and scalability strategies. Drive advanced performance enhancements by profiling JavaScript execution, optimizing rendering, minimizing memory leaks, and implementing techniques like Server Side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG). Design and implement sophisticated state management solutions to efficiently handle complex application logic. Uphold Front End security best practices, mitigating vulnerabilities in alignment with industry standards. Work closely with UX/UI designers, Back End engineers, and DevOps teams to streamline development workflows and CI/CD integration. Guide junior and mid-level developers through mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to enhance overall team capabilities. You will have: Extensive experience as a React Developer with strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. Skilled in using design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar for wireframing, prototyping, and creating interactive mock-ups. Hands-on experience conducting UX research, usability testing, and gathering user feedback to inform and refine design decisions. Deep understanding of responsive design principles, ensuring seamless user experiences across various devices and screen sizes. Ability to interpret and translate complex functional and non-functional business requirements into well-considered, effective solutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions and architectural designs to non-technical stakeholders.
