This role will require onsite presence but can allow some remote flexibility: a maximum of 2 days per week working from home. French fluency is an essential requirement for this role. The selected Application System Engineer will join the Unix team in Luxembourg managing 320 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7, and 8 machines, 95% virtualized, hosting critical applications for the client's users. The environment: Power Servers running AIX 7 with PowerVM/VIO (NPIV, SEA), managing about 100 partitions under NIM, hosting critical applications and databases (Oracle, WebSphere Application Server, IBM Spectrum Protect, Swift, etc.). OpenShift clusters hosting critical applications. Open storage arrays (Windows/Linux). Entire backup infrastructure (software and hardware). The ideal Application System Engineer will have proven experience in the financial domain and be a good communicator. Your role as an Application System engineer will include: Primarily participating in various banking projects involving the installation and deployment of banking applications (web or not) and platform or version migrations.
