Job Title: DV Cleared Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Aldermaston (2 days on-site per week working pattern) Duration: 12 months Rate: £85 Per Hour Inside IR35 Working Hours : 5-day week : Mon-Thur (8.25 hrs), Fri (8 hrs) 4-day week : Mon-Thur (8.25 hrs), Fri (off) Job Purpose To provide mechanical designs for the Facility Design Authority (FDA) ensuring utilities, infrastructure, engineering processes, equipment, and facilities comply with legislation, standards, and engineering design requirements throughout the facility life cycle. Key Accountabilities Deliver mechanical designs meeting safety and performance requirements. Maintain a strong understanding of relevant legislative documentation and standards. Apply expertise to ensure designs comply with legal and technical standards. Uphold high personal standards in safety, health, security, and quality. Key Responsibilities Develop mechanical engineering designs addressing defined requirements across the full engineering life cycle. Maintain design intent throughout the life cycle, collaborating with other disciplines as needed. Ensure compliance with Company Assurance Environment, Safety, Health, and Quality (ESH&Q) requirements. Qualifications and Skills ONC/OND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Working knowledge of legislation and standards applicable to mechanical design.
