Team Leader - Real Time Power Systems Simulation Platform Location: France (Paris or Grenoble or Nice) - preferred, open to other European locations Client: Our client is a global leader in ICT and energy solutions, committed to innovation and technological advancement. They are currently establishing a dedicated team in Europe (preferably France) focused on developing a cutting-edge, Real Time simulation platform for power systems modelling and analysis. Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced and visionary technical leader to guide the development and implementation of their next-generation Real Time simulation platform for power systems and related domains. The successful candidate will lead a high-calibre technical team in designing, developing, and deploying advanced modelling and simulation technologies, enabling accurate, reliable, and scalable Real Time simulations tailored for power systems, energy infrastructure, renewable integration, and electrification scenarios. This role requires deep expertise in Real Time systems, power system modelling, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations, software architecture, and team-building capabilities, with a clear vision to create world-class simulation solutions. Key Responsibilities: . Define and drive the strategic vision, technical architecture, and development roadmap for their new Real Time simulation platform. . Recruit, develop, and lead an expert technical team to deliver advanced modelling, simulation, and HIL solutions. . Oversee the design and implementation of a scalable, high-performance Real Time simulation engine capable of supporting complex power system models with microsecond-level accuracy. . Provide technical leadership in developing distributed simulation capabilities to address large-scale power system scenarios and multi-domain interactions. . Foster strong collaboration with research institutions, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with industry needs and technological advancements. . Ensure high-quality delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation through agile and structured software development methodologies. . Act as a thought leader and representative for the company at industry events, conferences, and professional forums. Technical Background and Qualifications: . Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines. . At least 10 years of professional experience, including significant experience in developing or architecting Real Time simulation platforms, software solutions, or advanced modelling environments. . Demonstrated expertise in Real Time simulation technologies, power systems modelling, distributed computing, and hardware-in-the-loop methodologies. . In-depth knowledge of simulation software architectures, high-performance computing (HPC), parallel/distributed processing techniques, and model integration frameworks. . Experience managing or leading multidisciplinary teams and proven ability to attract, motivate, mentor, and retain top-tier technical talent. . Track record of innovation and successful delivery of complex technology solutions in the power, energy, or related industrial sectors. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is beneficial but not mandatory. Preferred Experience and Skills: . Hands-on experience developing and deploying high-performance software products for industrial applications. . Knowledge of power electronics, renewable energy system modelling, and smart grid technologies. . Familiarity with European and international standards for power system simulations and grid integration. . Experience building strategic partnerships with academic or industrial entities.
