APPLICANTS MUST HAVE OR BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC SECURITY CLEARANCE What will you be doing; Work with the Research Division to complete a training plan for new members Work on the end-to-end production of documentation leading on code and process to ensure quality Communicate with stakeholders, requesting and providing data in line with timetables. Undertake analysis to process, analyse and quality assure data. Be involved in transitioning the Population Datasets from the Research Division to the wider team. What you can bring to the role: Ability to carry out data processing tasks that contribute to a statistical publication. A good understanding of statistical modelling methods. Demonstrable ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively. Able to carry out pieces of analytical work, such as identifying key trends and movements in data. The Roles can be based in Newport, Titchfield or Darlington Are you a Data Scientist looking for an opportunity to develop your skills whilst working in a huge data organisation? We have a number of vacancies for Data Scientists to work with a prestigious public sector client for a minimum of 12 months. What will you be doing; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, product managers, and senior stakeholders to quickly understand customer needs and translate them into pragmatic technical solutions leveraging AI. Rapidly prototype AI-powered features and iterate based on user feedback. Optimize AI models and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability. Establish frameworks, tools, and processes to responsibly develop, deploy, and monitor AI systems. Work closely with technology colleagues to understand infrastructure needs and bottlenecks. Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions in accordance with good practice. Monitor and understand resource utilization, make recommendations, manage optimization and scaling to ensure resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively. Leverage cloud computing microservices (eg Kubernetes, Terraform, Serverless computing). Person Specification: Proficiency in Python and experience with the full data science and machine learning stack. Strong software engineering skills with a focus on building robust, production-ready systems and understanding of deploying and monitoring such systems in a cloud environment. Experience in using data science techniques (eg natural language processing, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, deep learning). Passion for building AI tools that can be used by others to deliver business outcomes.
