Here at Hays, I am recruiting for an experienced VoIP (SIP) Engineer, on an initial 3 month contract (extensions likely) £490 pd (Inside IR35), working hybrid 2 days per week the Bradford office. What you will be working on: A great opportunity to work at a well-regarded Telecommunications client of mine as a Technical Engineer. You will be a hands-on resource, managing, coordinating, facilitating & executing test plans, defect management and status reporting; primarily for SIP work with SBC's, IP PBX's & SoftSwitch's. The team with a test lab are responsible for: Checking internal customers' SBC's before being passed onto external customers. Firewall for voice with an understanding of how to set up IVPN. Set up physical connection, logical connection and SIP connection. Test each SBC's against 120 scenarios, write a configuration data report, and deliver it to all stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate Significant hands-on technical knowledge & experience of CISCO SBC's, (ideally Ribbon SBC 2000), CUBE and IP PBX's. Knowledge and understanding of Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols. Experience managing & executing testing of the service, including SIP trace collection, management and review. Experience coordinating resources for testing, defect investigation & management, service testing & troubleshooting. Knowledge and skill using MS Teams Audio Codes. This role is based in Bradford, working hybrid with a minimum 2 days per week in the office.
