Capital Investment Programme Manager/Asset Management Planning Delivery Manager £60,000 to £70,000 plus benefits & bonus - ideally 2 days per week in their Brighton office, but there is some flexibility around this and can be discussed further - this role has huge growth potential for the future My client a large critical infrastructure organisation, seek a capable and experienced Capital Investment Programme Manager to drive the effective delivery of companies strategic investment programmes, ranging from £330m to £1.5bn in value. The job title could also be Asset Management Planning Delivery Manager, this role could in fact be for someone with a completely different job title, including Senior PMO, Senior Accountancy related role, Project Manager, Management Consultant, but someone who deals with large scale budgets, with the investment side of a utilities/core infrastructure/construction/Oil & Gas/manufacturing company where you ensure the spend matches the data, and delivery is right at a programme level. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that programme outcomes and benefits are delivered in line with their Price Review Business Plan and strategic objectives. This is a highly visible and cross-functional leadership role requiring excellent programme governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Core experience required: Essentially this is role for someone with lots of experience in the monitoring and managing of programme-level budgets, tracking benefits realisation, and supporting business case development. You must comfortable producing and interpreting financial reports for internal and external stakeholders (eg, shareholders, regulators, board) and have the ability to challenge and report projected outcomes. As the Capital Investment Programme Manager/Asset Management Planning Delivery Manager, you will: Support the Strategic Programme Leadership Team in one, or more, of our strategic programmes and will be accountable for highlighting variances from plan and proposing corrective actions to the strategic programme leadership team. Lead on delivery framework reporting and input key information to financial reporting to shareholders and investors. Enable the effective implementation and delivery of organisations execution plan by driving the successful delivery of interventions to time, cost and benefit. Ensure the planned level of benefits associated with TOTEX investments are being realised. This will involve proactively liaising across several directorates such as Asset Management, Capital Delivery, Finance, Operations and IT delivery streams to provide a clear view of any risk or opportunity to plan delivery and support Strategic Programme Leadership Teams in deciding priorities. The knowledge required for the Capital Investment Programme Manager/Asset Management Planning Delivery Manager position: Contractual awareness of different contracting models and standard forms. Ability to negotiate tactfully to successfully manage relationships with regulators, statutory bodies, other environmental stakeholders, supply-chain partners and individuals. Excellent understanding and experience of trading-off between cost and value for the benefit of their customers - this includes knowledge of the TOTEX hierarchy, whole-life cost principles, efficiency measures, and cost-benefit analysis. Demonstrable experience of handling large amounts of data and producing high quality management reports and presentations. Ability to produce insightful analysis to highlight trends and problem areas to focus management attention. An application of good governance to ensure effective oversight, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement throughout the programme life cycle. An understanding of and experience in managing programmes through the entire project life cycle, including feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Proven track record of delivering regulated infrastructure or utilities programmes . Demonstrated ability to optimise delivery frameworks , drive efficiencies, and manage high-value investment plans. Industry & Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with the TOTEX framework and capital investment drivers in regulated environments. Awareness of future trends and challenges impacting infrastructure investment. Strong numeracy and analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insight.
