A leading African focused renewable energy developer, head-officed in London, is looking to compliment their successful team with a passionate Engineer with experience in wind development. Holding an Engineering related degree (electrical engineer, geotechnical, mechanical) you will have 6months-2 years experience in modeling renewable energy resources, yield analysis, siting and plant design in a wind (or solar) utility scale project. Tasks will include supporting the team through the engineering design phase of the development of the project, through to assisting with the selection, negotiation and contracting of the EPC and O&M supplier. Senior Solution Java Architect

SYSA Senior Solution Architect We are looking for a Senior Software Developer. The candidate must have at least 12 years solid industry experience using Java based technologies and must have good software development skills and experience working all stages of the software development life cycle. The ideal candidate would be technically rounded, with skills ranging from core design and development to implementation and post implementation support. The candidate must be professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as will be customer facing. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: . Provide Integration Technical Leadership and Guidance. . Develop high quality software components to meet client requirements participating in large and small development teams using traditional and agile delivery techniques. . Implementing change requests to existing systems taking ownership of the full end-to-end delivery process. . Delivery of high quality software to test and support of test cycles . Delivery of high quality software to production environment . Lead and participate in production releases and subsequent support activities . Responsible for solution design, Quality Assurance, maintaining system configuration information and production of software related documentation . Estimation and planning of large scale projects and play lead role in bid preparation . Designing highly scalable, secure solutions . Provide coaching of more junior team members Required Education and Experience . Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, information technology discipline or equivalent. . Minimum 12 years' Java experience with strong enterprise integration skills ideally in a Telco environment . At least 5 years' experience working with the following technologies: Spring Framework, Web Services, Hibernate. . Good knowledge of EJB, JTA, JDBC technologies . Strong Maven build experience . Extensive experience in requirement analysis, technical documentation and design skills. . Extensive experience in requirement gathering, functional documentation and UML skills . Extensive experience in Distributed Software Engineering (eg REST/JSON, SOAP, SOA) . Excellent analytical and problem solving skills . Strong experience in RDBMS and SQL on at least one commercial database, preferably Postgres . Experience in web services development . Experience of at least one source code management system (eg SVN, GIT, Visual SourceSafe) Desired Skills . Ability to work in large scale, high volume, Real Time JEE environments and large scale integration projects . Experienced in working with Cloud technologies, specifically AWS . Knowledge of Wildfly/JBoss application Servers . Enterprise messaging JMS, MQ etc. . Performance testing and tooling . PostgreSQL . Knowledge of agile development . Full delivery life cycle exposure . Relevant IT certification a bonus . Background in Telco business domain would be a distinct advantage Key Performance Indicators . Demonstrably operates as the overall infrastructure CSA for large, complex solutions. . Regularly has large, complex designs, incorporating trade-offs from the original specification, accepted by the relevant business approval review, without any requirement for design changes. . Authors design and test documents for large, complex infrastructures, whose risk and cost elements are accepted by the overall CSA or PM. . Can evidence regular contributions to customer forums, conferences and professional bodies. . Using company prescribed methodologies, can demonstrate a contribution to the definition of customer overall IT architecture, including new solutions of significant size and complexity and which contain solution components from contributing specialists. .
