Allen Lane is supporting a large central government department in their search for an EPR (Oracle) Digital Service Owner on a permanent basis. The salary available is up to £105,000, plus the generous Civil Service pension (30.3% employer contribution). As ERP Digital Service Owner, you will co-ordinate and oversee operational service delivery and lead the continual improvement of the Oracle ERP solution for the Department. You will be responsible for leading change and overseeing the transition from the current delivery programme and then be accountable for the overall quality and operation of the integrated cloud-based software as a Service Finance and HR system as well as the continuous integration and management of the supply chain of delivery partners to configure, test and deploy ongoing releases and changes to the solution. Critical to the success of the role will be the ability to manage a range of external service providers and work closely with internal customers including finance and HR product owners, facilitating successful strategic partnering with all key parties. The Digital Service team has c.50 staff with a mixture of civil servants and specialist contractors. You will also oversee the contracts and relationships with key suppliers, Capgemini and Oracle. Applicants should demonstrate their skills and experience against the following essential criteria in your CV and statement of suitability: An experienced technology leader and problem-solving change manager with a collaborative, results driven approach, who can set clear strategic direction to lead and inspire a focused team through a period of significant upheaval and challenge to deliver long-term benefits. A proven track record in large-scale digital project and programme management, operating with technical experience and commercial nous to ensure services meet expectations of speed, ease of use and accessibility. High levels of personal drive and an interest and passion for innovation and delivering results through new and more efficient ways of working, underpinned by a familiarity with secure IT services. Experience operating at the senior level, equivalent to Board, across and outside an organisation of scale, with the ability to communicate with clarity and enthusiasm and collaborate and build effective load bearing relationships. Experience of leading, directing and managing large, geographically dispersed teams in a complex organisation; identifying capability gaps and putting measures in place to address them with the ability and gravitas to confidently challenge and influence decision making, structures and processes to be effective in reaching desired outcomes.
