The Center provides one-on-one physical therapy services for individuals with gait and balance, neurological and vestibular disorders. We use evidence-based practice, state-of-the-art equipment and progressive interventions to effectively assist clients to resolve dizziness and improve their strength, balance and mobility. With the goal of healthy and active aging, clients are able to transition to our Strength for Life Wellness program at the completion of their episode of care. Title: Staff Physical Therapist, Center for Balance, Mobility and Wellness
Under the Direction of the Clinical Director responsibilities include: 1. Evaluation and treatment of patients with gait and balance, neurological and vestibular disorders, which may also include a home safety evaluation. Responsibilities include appropriate documentation, billing of services provided and communication with medical providers. 2. Participation in therapist developed and led classes for the delivery of exercise for aging adults. 3. Willing to provide onsite supervision to Gordon College students participating in academic internships. 4. Willing to participate as needed in Clinical Internship Program by providing clinical mentoring to physical therapy students from area graduate programs. 5. Participation with continued program and staff development.
Ideal candidate has minimum 1-2 years' experience treating neurological and/ or vestibular disorders preferred. Although new grads will be considered and encouraged to apply. Desire to work with aging adult population. Willingness to advance expertise through achieving advanced clinical certification and / or competency. Eager to work with fun and supportive team.
