IT Support Technician Liverpool/Hybrid Circa £35K An IT Support Technician is required for our software development client who are based in Liverpool. As the only IT Support Technician within the company, your role will be integral to the organisation. You will be the go-to support for the existing teams' day-to-day IT needs, and you will have the opportunity to create, implement, and support your own IT architecture for the business. Main Duties and Responsibilities Serving as the first point of contact for IT support; providing on-site and remote support for all users. Create support tickets for any IT issues raised by users within the organisation. Proactively monitor, prioritise, and manage the support tickets whilst applying a 'security first' approach. Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues and where required install, repair, configure and maintain software and hardware components, and network systems. Ensure the security of every user's Workstation and the company Servers/data storage is maintained through best practice and anti-virus protection software. Monitor the organisations IT security and resolve vulnerabilities. Manage and maintain all company email accounts and their backup. Manage and maintain all company data backup both locally and remote. Analyse company technologies, systems, hardware, and software; where necessary propose, test, and implement new solutions that improve the company's IT performance, security, and reliability. When required, transport and configure moderately heavy objects such as computers, monitors, and peripherals within the Liverpool area. When necessary, manage the transportation logistics of Hardware and IT equipment throughout the UK and EU. Working to internal budgets build PC workstations from bespoke hardware components and software you specify and order. Configure and test all workstations and laptops for all new employees. Working with our in-house developers, support the network integration, accessibility and security of 3rd party development kits and peripherals. Help configure and maintain company specialty AV equipment. Audit and maintain an internal asset tracking system (hardware and software). Manage company web domains and hosting. Configure, support, and maintain the organisations existing network infrastructure including Switches, Firewalls, Routers, CCTV, cabling, and wireless network equipment. Help to develop company IT policies Manage and testing of data Backups/Disaster Recovery. Experience: 3 years+ experience in a professional IT Support or Technician role. Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, PC and Mac hardware components, peripherals, as well as Mobiles and Tablets (Android and iOS). Practical experience with Internet and network security protocols. Familiarity with remote management tools. Able to build PC workstations from components. Have a valid UK driving license.
